Best 5 fish stringer day ever on Lake Fork!
Sunday March 13th, 2011 and the bite is here! Started out shallow with all of the others fishing crankbaits, traps and vibrating jigs. Good fast action but I was hunting for a toad. Went to the main lake and started fishing secondary points about 4-7'. Using a carolina rig lizard. 5 biggest fish:
1 10 lb.
1 9.5 lb
1 8.7 lb.
2 8-8.5 lb
Awesome!

Fishing on Monticello
Fished Monticello on Friday, Jan 7. Used a jene larew 12" worm to catch this nice one. Caught about 20 fish throughout the day mainly using a silver lipless crankbait. Bigger fish came on the worm. Beautiful weather, mid-60's. Two days later we are covered in 4" of snow!

First Post
This is my first post to my new blog. I hope to provide information about fishing on Lake Fork and other interesting happenings in the area. Please feel free to leave comments or ask questions.
This week fishing is slow but have been catching some on deep points and ledges using spoons. The water is getting colder pushing the fish deeper. Some fish are still being caught in shallower water on jigs in the creek bends.
